Bill started his career as a laborer in 1988. With experience and education, Bill quickly became a leading project estimator. He recognized a necessity in the construction industry for specialized selective demolition, disposal, dismantling and recycling services; so, in 1999 he created B&B Demolition Ltd. B&B Demolition started as a very small organization, employing only four people. Today, the company has forty-six team members. Bill was the first person in Canada to earn Gold Seal Certification by the Construction Association in estimating and safety for the demolition industry. Bill's focus is to find superior, safer, and more cost effective ways to satisfy his customers. In 2010 Bill finished in the top three for the Small Business leader of the year award by the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce and was nominated for 2010 National Philanthropy Day awards. Bill has been an Alberta's Promise Partner since 2009 for the support he provides to children's charities in Alberta. Bill is a member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), and was named 2013 Construction Person of the Year by Alberta Venture Magazine. In 2013 he was named a Business leader of Tomorrow by Business in Edmonton Magazine. He has a Gold Seal Certification in Construction (GSC) and is a National Safety Officer (NSO) in Construction.
Beau joined the B&B team in October 2014 bringing with him many years of senior management experience in both small and large organizations. After completing 12 years in the UK military, Beau worked for GE throughout the world in various technical and management roles within the Power Generation Construction Industry. He was also the General Manager of a large UK Facilities Management company before starting his own business in London. Beau and his family moved to Canada in 2012 and was the General Manager for a local construction company based in Fort McMurray before moving South.
Ben started at B&B Demolition in 2001. He has dedicated himself to grow within the company, and has held many positions before becoming a full time estimator. His experience in the field and in safety enables Ben to estimate projects with a unique understanding of all details of the job. Ben is always striving to achieve excellence in the industry, and satisfy his customers. Ben is an active member of the Edmonton Executive Association.
Manager of Safety & Corporate Culture
Derek started with B&B Demolition Ltd in April of 2013, bringing with him 12 years of safety experience to the B&B's team. Educated traditionally in the Oil & Gas industry, Derek is making his first leap into the world of demolition at B&B. Derek has been a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering since 2005, and spends his free time coaching local youth minor hockey. In May 2014 Derek was made the manager of Safety & Corporate Culture, ensuring that the B&B team remains strong and devoted to providing superior service to all clients. With Derek's guidance and collaboration with management B&B strives to ensure that all projects are completed safely and incident free by highly trained and devoted team members.
Steven Knight B.Comm.
Business Development Manager
Steven started with B&B in April of 2011 and finished his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta School of Business with distinction in May 2014. In May 2014 he was promoted from the role of Marketing & I.T. Manager to Business Development Manager. Steven is now responsible for all of B&B Demolition's marketing activities, IT departments, and recruiting the best talent to join the team. He is also B&B's photographer, and is responsible for all of the photos you will see in the photo gallery. Steven is no stranger to fulfilling multiple roles simultaneously, and enjoys the responsibility he has been given. In June 2014 he was named one of Canada's 50 top emerging leaders by Gen Y Inc. Steven is an avid volunteer football coach, social media consultant, and social entrepreneur while he is not working at B&B. Nicole has been with B&B since mid-2012 and brings four years of executive experience to the organization. Nicole started as B&B's receptionist and quickly grew to become the office administrator, responsible for all of the accounts payable and payroll. In addition, she works tirelessly in her community, coaching youth cheerleading teams.
Tim started with B&B in February of 2014, adding five years of experience in construction and demolition to the team. Tim has completed his CET designation with NAIT, and brings a wide range of skills to the B&B team. In his free time, Tim donates his expertise in construction to his son's school, acting as their volunteer handyman.
Robert joined the B&B team in May 2014 as a residential estimator. Robert’s positive attitude and approachable nature make him the ideal team member to help new homeowners through the demolition process. With 2 years of experience running his own demolition company, Robert understands the business well, and is dedicated to success. An avid volunteer, rugby player, and member of the Edmonton Construction Association Young Builders Group, Robert lives the core values of B&B each and every day.
Joining the team in September 2014, Trevor brings two years of demolition estimating experience to the B&B team. An avid poker player and new Edmontonian, Trevor looks forward to working with clients of all sizes on demolition projects. Educated in economics and marketing, Trevor hopes to provide additional value to all of his clients on each project. Trevor is also a member of the Young Builders Group with the Edmonton Construction Association.
Penny has been a part of the B&B Demolition team since 2002. Penny has worked her way up through all of the positions in B&B. Starting in the shop as a tool driver, Penny became involved in field operations, safety, project management, and estimating. Her vast knowledge of the company, as well as the construction industry has allowed her to move into the Scheduling Coordinator role. Penny is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of all B&B projects. Her excellent leadership skills and technical knowledge make her the perfect fit for the job. Penny is an active member of Building Operations Management Association (BOMA).
Ounce has been B&B's shop dog since 2005. If you stop by B&B, Ounce will be the first one to meet you at the door with a wagging tail and big smile. Bill Knight adopted Ounce from the SPCA, giving him a loving family at B&B.
After the unexpected passing of the B&B guard dog, Ounce, Fred has been introduced to the B&B team. While Ounce’s paws may never be filled, Fred is an excellent companion who brightens everyone’s day.

B&B Demolition is 15 years old! Owner Bill Knight incorporated B&B Demolition Ltd. in December of 1999. After years of experience in the demolition industry, Bill decided to go on his own, and start B&B which grew from a small organization into the industry leader that it is today.
